Metrowerks to Represent RTXC Operating Systems Worldwide
Houston, TX, October 1, 2002 - Quadros Systems, Inc., a leading supplier of configurable, real-time operating
systems and Metrowerks, recognized experts in software development tools, have
signed an agreement under which Metrowerks will distribute RTXC real-time operating
systems and associated products to its customer base worldwide.
"RTXC real-time operating systems are already supported by Metrowerks
CodeWarrior™ tools for many embedded processor platforms including 68K,
ARM, ColdFire, Power PC, and StarCore," said Tom Barrett, president of
Quadros Systems, Inc. "This agreement allows us to reach many more customers
with a powerful combination of RTOS and development tools."
"We're excited to be working with Quadros Systems," said John Smolucha,
vice president of marketing at Metrowerks. "RTXC operating systems have
a large and loyal user base. We expect the reach of our global sales channels
to grow this base with a new set of customers who will benefit from the tight
integration of CodeWarrior development tools and RTXC."
RTXC products have set the standard in deterministic, operating systems for
control and general processing applications. RTXC Quadros, the newest member
of the RTXC family, offers a unique, configurable kernel architecture with single
and multi stack kernel frameworks that offer excellent flexibility in applications
using DSP, microprocessors and multi-cores.
In addition to real-time operating systems, Quadros Systems' RTXC product line
includes RTXCnet, a suite of networking protocols tightly integrated with the
RTXC kernel and RTXCfatfile32, a DOS-compatible file system. For Metrowerks users
who want increased visibility of kernel objects during debugging, RTXC Quadros
offers a kernel awareness module that plugs into the CodeWarrior IDE.
