Quadros Systems Announces High-Performance Networking Software for Embedded Devices
RTXC Quadnet TCP/IP features zero copy and IPv6 compliance
Houston, TX — July 27, 2004 — Quadros Systems, Inc., a leading supplier of configurable and scaleable real-time operating systems (RTOS), today announced the availability of RTXC Quadnet TCP/IP, a comprehensive suite of high-performance networking software targeted at embedded devices. RTXC Quadnet was written specifically for embedded applications and is fully RFC-compliant. Its zero-copy design and tight coding increase processing speed and overall system efficiency.
RTXC Quadnet TCP/IP networking software is designed to support a wide range of applications where connectivity is essential such as data acquisition and data logging, factory automation, CAN-to-Ethernet gateways, building control and security, remote diagnostics and monitoring, point-of-sale kiosks and printers, environmental controls, and medical devices.
“The new RTXC Quadnet TCP/IP product significantly raises the performance bar for embedded connectivity,” said Tom Barrett, president of Quadros Systems. “With this new release, Quadros customers experience a significant leap in performance, gaining unmatched packet processing speeds combined with a large and growing set of application protocols.”
The RTXC Quadnet TCP/IP stack is available for IPv4, IPv6 or as a dual IPv4/IPv6 stack. Basic protocols include TCP, IP, UDP, SLIP, ICMP, ARP, RIPv2, and a Berkeley Sockets 4.4 API. Additional networking protocols such as BOOTP/DHCP, DNS, IGMPv2, NAT, AutoIP and PPP are available as add-on modules. Available application level protocols include HTTP (web) server, FTP and TFTP (file transfer), Telnet, SMTP/POP3 (email), and SNMPv1, 2, and 3.
Written in ANSI C, RTXC Quadnet TCP/IP is shipped with full source code. Its modular design enables the developer to include only the needed components at compile time, saving valuable memory space.
The stack has undergone rigorous testing procedures, including PC-Lint testing, to ensure error free builds when using any ANSI C compiler. To ease implementation and provide a high-level of compliance, Quadnet has also been tested according to the Automated Network Validation Library (ANVL) to ensure RFC compliance and TAHI conformance testing (IPv6).
Availability and Pricing
RTXC Quadnet TCP/IP is available immediately. Single project licenses start under $10,000.
