Partnership Takes Quadros Systems into South America
Agreement with Brazil's Pleiades establishes sales, development and customer support network
Houston, TX, November 21, 2005 - Quadros Systems, Inc., a leading supplier
of configurable and scaleable real-time operating systems (RTOS),
announced they have signed on Pleiades Sistemas de Comunicação Óptico
Digitais Ltda. as a sales and embedded development partner in Brazil.
Under the agreement, Pleiades will provide pre- and post-sale technical
support for all of Quadros Systems products and customers in Brazil. The
Pleiades team will build on the customer base it already shares with
Quadros as well as seeking out new opportunities through a combination
of sales, field engineering and application support.
Created by industry and academic professionals, Pleiades has become one
of the most important research and development companies within Brazil's
large telecommunications industry. It offers a vast array of research and
development services and embedded solutions in telecommunications fields
such as ATM, frame relay, PDH/STM, SONET, optical network technologies
(FTTH/FTTC, HDSL, ADSL, MDSL, SDSL, ISDN), VoIP, wireless access

lightweight specialized executive to support high data rate and signal
processing applications. RTXC/ms (multi-stack) is optimized for control
processing using an event-driven, prioritized, preemptive scheduler.
RTXC/dm (dual mode) marries RTXC/ms and RTXC/ss and is ideal for
convergent processing applications which combine DSP/dataflow and
RISC/control processing in a single-core architecture. Both RTXC/ms
and RTXC/dm are brought together under RTXC/mp (multiprocessing) in
various combinations to support multicore and multiprocessor
implementations.
